COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN BLADDER DIARY AND URODYNAMIC STUDY TO IDENTIFY LOWER URINARY TRACT SYMPTOMS

Objective: To identify the similarity of lower urinary tract symptoms presented in urodynamic study compared to diary. Method: This is a comparative carried out an urodynamics clinic southern Santa Catarina, Brazil, with 44 patients who underwent examination. Data collection was by applying questionnaire and 72-hour bladder diary comparing it findings using SPSS for Windows Stata/SE v.14.1 programs. Results: The showed high specificity, sensitivity, accuracy identifying detrusor hyperactivity stress incontinence. There no difference capacity (p* 0.198). It pointed sensitivity volume smaller than that (p*<0.001). able were not present study. Conclusion: effective can be used define first-line treatment broader range population diagnosis, shorter time between complaints treatment, cost reduction system, less discomfort patient.
